Es and Flo fell fiercely in love in the 80s. They’ve been secretly living as lovers ever since. As Es becomes more forgetful around their home, an unexpected carer arrives.

Who sent this woman? Why? Can they trust her?

As the outside world comes crashing in, Flo fights to protect the life they’ve built together over forty years behind closed doors. And faces the hardest battle of her life – to hold on to the woman she loves.

Coloured with memories of the Greenham Common Women’s Peace Camp – where Es and Flo first met as activists – this sharply observed new play by Jennifer Lunn celebrates the love of an older lesbian relationship, women coming together to fight for what’s right, and the healing power of chosen family.

This performance contains open captions which are on stands either side of the stage. 

This is a relaxed performed. Relaxed Performances are specially adapted to be accessible to a wide range of audiences such as those with autism, those with a learning disability or anyone with a sensory predisposition, with extra trained staff on hand and dedicated quiet areas inside the theatre should anyone need to leave their seat. The performance is open to all and will include a number of sensory adjustments such as lower sound levels, brighter lighting and a less formal setting. Encouraging an atmosphere where everyone feels safe and able to react to the show as they wish. At WMC we will have break out spaces for people who need a quiet moment throughout the show.
