Fayaz Abubaker, CEO said:

“At Atlas Travels, our journey goes beyond destinations; it's about creating inclusive travel experiences for everyone. Today, we're proud to announce we have joined the global Hidden Disabilities Sunflower a program close to our hearts.

Our decision to join hands with the Sunflower is deeply personal. My beautiful daughter, Alayna, has autism, a hidden disability that, despite its unseen nature, comes with unique challenges. As a father, I've navigated the balance of wanting to explore the world with my daughter while respecting her need for routine and familiarity.

The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower is recognised in over 230 airports across 30 countries, and expanding has been a game changer for us. The program, helped through products like lanyards and badges, provides a universally recognised symbol for those with non-visible disabilities.

Being recognised at the airport and given the support, time and understanding that wearing the Sunflower lifts the difficult aspects of travel, allowing Alayna to move freely and comfortably.

I share my story as evidence of the program's value and to shed light on its potential to transform lives. As a father who was once uncertain between the desire to explore and the need to maintain routine, the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower has made life massively easier. It's a lifeline that ensures my daughter's travel experiences are not spoiled by unnecessary stress.

Being a member of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower is not just a business decision; it's a commitment to raising awareness and supporting individuals with non-visible disabilities. We understand the challenges these travellers face, and our goal is to make their journeys easy, hassle-free, and, most importantly, complete.

If you or someone you know has a non-visible disability, our trained team of professionals are here to organise travel that accommodates your unique needs. Together, let's ensure that no one is left behind due to routine or challenges associated with a non-visible disability.”
