November will be a very busy month for HDS Netherlands. On 7 November we'll be delivering a presentation to colleagues from the Dutch tax office and Customs. During our presentation we'll inform the participants about hidden disabilities. The following day, we'll be at the congress of the Reisprof where we'll deliver training to travel agents and airlines. And on the Wednesday we will be at the ROC van Amsterdam, MBO Hospitality for some lectures.

This week we welcomed Nora to the HDS Netherlands team. Nora will be responsible for the Social Media accounts in the Netherlands and Belgium. Nora will also look after our HDS Netherlands podcast and the first three “gesprekken” are already planned. If you would like to share your story on our podcast please get in touch!

We are also pleased to introduce Maureen. Maureen is the official Ambassador for the Sunflower in the Netherlands & Belgium. Maureen plans to work hard to establish the Sunflower in both countries.

In the coming month we are also working on making some improvements to our Dutch website.

A milestone for HDS Netherlands will be the Sunflower launching at the Tweede Kamer (Dutch Government) on 14 November. The Chamber President, Vera Bergkamp, will officially launch the Sunflower with 15 Sunflower wearers and several representatives from political parties.

New organisations that have become Sunflower members this month include: Molencate Europe Holidayparcs, where the Sunflower will be recognised at all 18 parks. Viggo, the handling agent for Transavia and Air Europe, are about to start the Sunflower training with their staff. Philips Muziek Gebouw at Eindhoven have completed their Sunflower training and are welcoming Sunflower wearers with extra care.  A new museum, the Waterlinie Museum at Bunnik, also joined.

Take a look at the map to see where the Sunflower is recognised in your city.
