The Hilton London Kensington is the first Hilton in the UK to join the global Hidden Disabilities Sunflower network. Welcoming guests from around the world, whether for a business trip or pleasure, to take in the sights and sounds of London, the staff have taken training to recognise and support people with non-visible disabilities. Inclusion is important to Hilton and ensuring that staff and visitors who have invisible disabilities are supported is important to them.
The Sunflower is universally known and easily identifiable. It removes the language barrier for acknowledgement, support, patience, understanding and kindness.
Sunflower lanyards are available for guests to pick up at the Concierge desk. The team at Hilton will wear the I support badges or the green Sunflower lanyards if they have a hidden disability and wish to wear one.
Patricia Mahon, General Manager, Hilton London Kensington said:
"We're beyond proud to become members of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower, as we continue to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all at our hotel. At Hilton, inclusivity is at the heart of everything we do and we are excited to take this meaningful step to further enhance the hotel experience for all individuals of all abilities."
