Dubizzle Group UAE, the homegrown unicorn behind powerhouse portals Bayut and dubizzle announces its participation in the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower initiative, a global movement that promotes awareness and understanding of hidden disabilities, ensuring individuals with non-visible disabilities are supported in both professional and social settings.

As part of the initiative, both the Dubizzle Group’s UAE based entities, Bayut & dubizzle are actively fostering a more inclusive workplace by appointing certified Sunflower Ambassadors within the organisation. These ambassadors will be responsible for promoting the campaign, providing guidance to employees and creating an environment where all individuals feel understood and valued.

Suzanne Gandy - Director of Human Resources at Bayut and dubizzle said:

“By joining the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower initiative, Bayut and dubizzle are reinforcing our commitment to ensuring that every employee, including those with hidden disabilities, feels acknowledged, respected and supported,”

She also added:

Our diverse workforce is one of our greatest strengths, and we believe that creating an environment that embraces different needs and abilities is essential for fostering a more inclusive environment that encourages empathic behaviour and helps bring in more understanding around the needs and capabilities of different individuals.”

Andy Faulkner, CEO of Topland, exclusive partner of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower in the Middle East said:

“We admire Dubizzle Group’s commitment to foster an inclusive culture within their organization by embedding the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower. Through this program the Sunflower wearers are recognized and offered the support, patience and understanding they require."

Bayut and dubizzle have already been recognised as one of the Best Places to Work in the UAE, ranked 19 among many top international companies. This underscores the organisation’s commitment to creating a positive and inclusive working environment. Being named a Great Place to Work for two consecutive years is yet another accomplishment that highlights the company’s continuous efforts to foster a supportive, diverse workplace where employees are prioritised.
