The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program has been introduced at NEOM Bay Airport, marking the airport’s participation in a wider effort to improve accessibility and support passengers with hidden disabilities.
The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower is a globally recognized program that supports people living with non-visible disabilities, conditions, and chronic illnesses. Established in the United Kingdom in 2016, the program is now active in more than 90 countries and adopted by thousands of organizations worldwide, including more than 340 airports and 30-plus airlines. The voluntary Sunflower symbol enables individuals to discreetly indicate that they may require additional understanding, time, or support while navigating public spaces.
As part of the rollout, frontline teams across Terminals A and B have completed dedicated training to recognize the Sunflower symbol and provide appropriate assistance where needed. Sunflower lanyards and pins are available at check-in counters for passengers who wish to wear them. Passengers can collect Sunflower lanyards and related products from the check-in counters located in Terminals A and B. By joining the Sunflower program, NEOM Bay becomes the first airport in Saudi Arabia to go live with the program.
