Bank of England joins the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower
We are delighted to announce that the Bank of England is Sunflower-friendly. The Bank joins a growing network of organisations striving to make workplaces and services more accessible and inclusive for everyone. It reflects the Bank’s commitment to creating an environment where colleagues and visitors alike feel safe to be themselves and confident that their needs will be understood without having to explain or disclose personal information.
Non-visible disabilities or hidden disabilities can include conditions such as autism, chronic pain, anxiety, visual or hearing impairments, and many others that may not be visible.
Victoria Cleland, Chief Cashier and Co-Executive Sponsor of the Bank’s disAbility Network, said:
"The Bank of England is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment. By joining the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower, we have taken a meaningful step towards ensuring that our colleagues and visitors with non-visible disabilities feel seen and supported."
