Avolta proudly joins the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower network
Avolta launches its membership of the Sunflower on International Day of Persons with Disabilities, to enforce its belief that every traveller deserves to feel understood, supported, and at ease while recognising the importance of creating travel experiences that work for everyone.
The global Hidden Disabilities Sunflower is a simple yet powerful symbol helping Avolta's teams recognise and assist travellers with non-visible disabilities.
Through dedicated Sunflower training, its teams learn to identify the Sunflower symbol and offer thoughtful support, whether that means taking extra time, offering patience, or creating a calmer and more comfortable experience.
In collaboration with its airport partners such as Heathrow, Rio de Janeiro–Galeão, and Santos Dumont, they've embraced the Sunflower program in the UK, Finland and Brazil, where its teams at airports are trained to look out for the Sunflower pin, lanyard, or wristband as a sign that a traveller may need additional understanding.
Katrin Volery, Chief People, Culture & Organisation Officer, said:
“Our collaboration with Sunflower is aligned with our mission to make travellers happier; every action to improve the travel experience helps us build a more empathetic and inclusive workplace.”
By joining the network globally, Avolta takes another step in creating a traveller-centric experience; one that celebrates accessibility, empathy, and respect in every interaction.
