A place to shop
MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre, Kilkenny has become the South East’s first Sunflower-friendly Shopping Centre.
The Centre management team along with car park, cleaning, security team and 15 retail groups have all undertaken training, provided by Hidden Disabilities Sunflower, to increase their awareness of the barriers that individuals with invisible disabilities can face.
Sunflower lanyards are available for free from the Centre’s Customer Service Desk to those who want to discreetly indicate to people around them that they have an invisible disability and may need additional support, help or simply a little more time.
A place for a vacation
Trabolgan Holiday Village is located in an idyllic and tranquil setting beside the sea in East Cork on over a 140-acres. Open seasonally, Trabolgan has 172 self-catering houses and apartments and is ideal for weekend, midweek, or weekly family holiday breaks. The venue has something for everyone including: a safe and friendly environment for toddlers, a host of activities for energetic kids and teens, and great entertainment for all the family including Mums, Dads and grandparents.
Everyone at Trabolgan Holiday Village has received Sunflower training. They are delighted to recognise the Sunflower and look forward to welcoming guests with invisible disabilities.
Supporting you at the airport
PRM Assist is delighted to have joined the Sunflower. It was vital that the mobile application for booking airport assistance, included services for all disabilities both visible and invisible. By making the lanyards available through their application for both delivery or collection at participating airports, it gives passengers peace of mind knowing they can obtain their lanyard and travel without having to add additional time to their airport journey.
The airport can naturally be a stressful environment, and the collaboration of Hidden Disabilities and PRM Assist is another step in reducing that stress for passengers travelling with additional needs.
