Teleperformance, a global leader in advanced experience management, has announced the implementation of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower initiative across the UK. This marks a significant step towards enhancing its commitment to being a Disability Confident Employer and fostering an environment of inclusivity.
The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower is an internationally recognised symbol of support for individuals with invisible disabilities. It aims to significantly improve their day-to-day experiences. As part of this initiative, Teleperformance has introduced a discreet green Sunflower lanyard. This lanyard can be worn voluntarily by Teleperformance colleagues who work on-site and live with a disability or condition that may not be immediately apparent. The Sunflower signifies that the wearer may require additional support or understanding in the workplace.
To ensure the successful deployment of this initiative, comprehensive Hidden Disabilities Sunflower training has been introduced for all employees. These training sessions are designed to equip staff with the necessary knowledge and skills to recognize invisible disabilities, offer appropriate assistance, and cultivate a supportive and inclusive work environment.
In addition, Teleperformance UK offices will display “We Support the Sunflower” stickers, and colleagues will participate in training. Colleagues with non-visible disabilities can choose to wear a Sunflower lanyard or pin badge.
This initiative is a testament to Teleperformance’s commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive work environment. By implementing the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower, Teleperformance is not only promoting awareness of invisible disabilities but also fostering a culture of empathy and respect. This initiative is a significant step towards creating a more inclusive and supportive work environment for all.
Gary Slade, CEO of Teleperformance, said:
