Not every disability can be seen – but every passenger deserves to feel comfortable and supported. With this idea in mind, Poznan-Lawica Airport has officially joined the worldwide Hidden Disabilities Sunflower initiative. To turn these words into action, the airport team has completed dedicated training, learning to recognize the sunflower symbol and respond with empathy, patience, and understanding. At the airport information desk, passengers can pick up a complimentary lanyard or wristband with the sunflower symbol. This discreet sign helps staff provide additional support and ensure a more comfortable journey. – We know that not every disability is visible. Our goal is to create an atmosphere where every passenger feels safe, comfortable, and cared for – says Magdalena Pawelczyk, Director of Marketing & Commerce Division at Poznań-Ławica Airport. With this initiative, Poznań-Ławica joins a growing global network of airports committed to making air travel more inclusive, accessible, and sensitive to the needs of every passenger.
