Supporting passengers with non-visible disabilities
Hidden Disabilities Sunflower is delighted to announce that Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) has joined the global Hidden Disabilities Sunflower network.
The Sunflower is a discreet way for people with non-visible disabilities, conditions or chronic illnesses to indicate that they may need additional support, understanding or more time. Wearing the Sunflower is entirely voluntary, and no proof of a disability is required. The Sunflower does not automatically provide priority access or expedited security screening. It helps airport team members recognise that someone may need additional support, understanding or more time.
By introducing the Sunflower, Manchester-Boston Regional Airport is helping its employees and customer-facing partners recognise that someone wearing the Sunflower may appreciate a little extra patience, space, clear communication or an offer of support.

Wearing the Sunflower is entirely voluntary, and no proof of a disability is required. It does not provide priority access, expedited security screening or an exemption from standard airport and security procedures.
Passengers who require specific assistance should continue to contact their airline before travelling so that the appropriate support can be arranged.
Where to get a Sunflower lanyard or badge
Sunflower lanyards and badges are available at the MHT Information Booth on the first floor near Baggage Claim 3 or from the Receptionist Office on the third floor of the terminal.
