About this experience

Access Museum exhibitions with reduced sensory stimuli. Quiet Afternoons reduces the impact of sensory stimuli, like low light, looping sound and loud noises, to provide an alternate experience across the Museum space. Visitors are invited to undertake a relaxed experience where they can explore current exhibitions and connect with the stories of our City. A break-out area will also be available for when some extra quiet time is needed with low sensory impacts. Quiet Afternoons are designed for visitors who may benefit from or prefer a quieter museum and gallery experience. This may include people with autism, disability, dementia, mental health or chronic illness conditions. MoB welcomes visitors of all ages. Quiet Afternoons has been devised through outcomes aligned with Brisbane City Council’s Inclusive Museums Project funding. Quiet Afternoons is proudly supported by Program Partner Brisbane Airport Corporation.
