Additional accessibility information

The festival features: Accessible parking spaces Accessible toilet Companion/Carer access Level access - Level access is available and may include the use of lifts Step-free access - Access is step-free but may include ramps or slopes The festival is held within the Coolangatta precinct, with a combination of outdoor stages and indoor venues. The primary terrain of the festival precinct consists of flat grass, paved areas and gravel. During peak traffic periods, particularly if there has been heavy rainfall, the festival precinct may become more difficult to navigate. We recommend those using wheelchairs and/or motorised wheelchairs use large wheels for further stability. The Queen Elizabeth Stage is located on a flat, grassy terrain, the general viewing area has no seating available. Attendees can set up their own chairs but must relocate by 4pm each day to ensure crowd safety. A large dancefloor with a slight incline to access will be situated in the middle of the grass in front of the stage. An accessible viewing area is available with plastic chairs and room for wheelchairs towards the right side of the park facing the stage, along with accessible toilets. There is accessible matting added to create pathways from the existing concert paths. Performances contain loud sounds/music and flashing lighting effects. This stage gets very crowded at peak times. Limited Accessible Parking is available in the Greenmount Beach Surf Club Carpark as well as The Strand Shopping Centre Carpark. Dixon Street Stage is located at the intersection of a closed road with a flat concrete surface. There are no accessible viewing areas at this stage as it is a smaller area. The Kustomville Stage & Bar is an over 18’s only area complete with accessible toilets. The Elvis Precinct & Beach Bar contains accessible toilets, seating and flat grassy surfaces. The Elvis Marquee is an indoor venue with wooden flooring. There is accessible viewing allocated seating and Carer seating for ticketed shows. Performances will contain loud sounds/music and flashing lighting effects. For more accessible info please visit the accessibility page on our website.
