Auckland One Rail joins the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program!
We’re excited to announce that Auckland One Rail (AOR) is the first public transport operator in Auckland to join the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program!
Launched on 3 December, in recognition of International Day of People with Disabilities, the sunflower initiative supports rail customers with hidden disabilities by providing assistance at several train stations across the Auckland metro rail network.

If you’re traveling with a Sunflower lanyard or badge and may need help or a little more time, trained station-based customer service staff will be ready to assist at the following locations:
- Waitemata (Britomart) and Newmarket stations - when stations are open.
- Otahuhu Station - Monday to Friday.
- Papakura Station - 6am to 10am, Monday to Friday.
- New Lynn Station - 6am to 2pm, Monday to Friday.
- Panmure Station - 6am to 2pm, Monday to Friday.
A huge thank you to Auckland One Rail for making public transport more inclusive and accessible for everyone.
