Marvel Stadium Joins the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Network
We’re delighted to welcome Marvel Stadium to the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower network, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive and welcoming venue for all fans.
Marvel Stadium, a leading destination for sporting and entertainment events, is now part of a growing global community recognising the Sunflower as a simple way to support people with non-visible disabilities. The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower is a globally recognised symbol that signals the wearer may have a disability, condition, or chronic illness that is not immediately apparent and may need a little extra help, time, or understanding.
Wearing the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower lanyard or pin is voluntary and signals that a person may require a little extra assistance, understanding, or time due to a hidden disability or condition.
Scott Fitzgerald, General Manager, Marvel Stadium, says:
"We are committed to delivering an inclusive and accessible experience for all our patrons at Marvel Stadium year-round. We are focused on ensuring our staff are equipped to confidently support people with hidden disabilities and continue to provide a welcoming and supportive experience across the Stadium for everyone.”
The Sunflower program at Marvel Stadium will be visible throughout the venue, with staff undertaking training to provide the support needed.
We’re thrilled to have Marvel Stadium join the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower network and look forward to seeing the positive impact across this iconic venue, ensuring all patrons enjoy a supportive, inclusive experience.
